P7 ‘Bee Safe’ Event

P7 were invited to attend a ‘BeeSafe’ event on Wednesday 27th March 2024 at Portadown Town Hall.

BeeSafe is a project aimed at Primary 7 children that is designed to promote community and personal safety while reducing anti-social behaviour within the Borough.

Topics covered during the two-week programme included Bus Safety, Fire Safety, Home Safety, Internet Safety, Anti-Social Behaviour and Mental Health. Bee Safe is a proactive, multi-agency community safety initiative which is aimed at the primary seven age group.

These educational events promote safety and develop community awareness, preparing pupils for the transition to secondary level education. Presentations will be delivered by the NIFRS, Translink, PSNI and Environmental Health.

P7 had lots of fun listening to the visiting speakers and a special thank you to the Policing and Community Safety Partnership for organising the event.
